Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The DEI team oversees projects and initiatives relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus. SGA works with the Office of Inclusion and Diversity, DEI teams within Auburn’s colleges as well as BSU and ISO to strengthen DEI efforts.
DEI’s Goal: To create a sense of comfort and equality for all students throughout Auburn and truly portray a True Auburn Family.
SGA’s Current DEI Projects
- Breaking Barriers: Townhall meeting between BSU, SGA, and ISO to discuss the current campus climate and next steps on adjusting the climate
- Reactivation of the Harold A. Franklin Society Organization within AUInvolve. The purpose of the Harold A. Franklin Society (HAFS) is to enhance the academic, social, and professional development of underrepresented male Auburn University students
SGA’s Current DEI Initiatives
- Establishing DEI teams/committees for colleges that may not currently have one created
- Establishing a DEI Newsletter that provides updates from every college’s DEI team
